Top-mounted window awnings belong to the WAREMA range of window awnings . The NA-MA system is attached directly to the window and installed with it in the structural opening. It is intended primarily for new-build projects and major refurbishments in which the windows and façade interfaces are planned together.

Top-mounted window awnings are planned with the window, wall build-up and façade interfaces. The system is fixed to the window and the combined unit is installed in the structural opening according to the project-specific installation sequence.

  • Integrated box: The box can be plastered internally and externally when the selected façade detail and system configuration permit.
  • Flush guide rails: Suitable guide-rail profiles can be fully plastered to create a restrained façade appearance.
  • easyZIP side guidance: The fabric is retained laterally in the guide rails. Wind resistance depends on dimensions, fabric, fixing and the tested installation configuration.

Availability varies by country.

  • maximum order width 3000 mm
  • maximum order height 3100 mm
  • Maximum order area 9 m²
  • wind-stable easyZIP guidance
  • Box for masonry
  • Inspection access outside, shaft depth 80 mm

The wind resistance of the WAREMA NA-MA depends on the system dimensions, fabric, fixing, installation and building exposure.

In tested configurations, easyZIP guidance retains the fabric laterally within the guide rails and can be rated for wind speeds of up to 150 km/h. The permitted operating limit for the specified product must be taken from the current technical documentation.

The easyZIP guidance retains the fabric at the sides and can reduce lateral light gaps. This supports controlled light reduction but does not define the complete room-darkening performance on its own.

The result also depends on the awning fabric , colour, openness factor, dimensions and installation details. Select the configuration using the product-specific technical data for the required level of daylight, glare control and privacy.

A top-mounted window awning is attached directly to the window. The window and external shading system are planned as one installation unit and inserted together into the structural opening. This allows the box and guide rails to be coordinated with the façade build-up, subject to the selected system and construction details.

The NA-MA is primarily designed for new buildings because it is planned and installed together with the window as a top-mounted system.

It can also be considered during a major refurbishment when the windows are replaced and the façade connection is rebuilt. If the existing windows and reveals remain, another type of window awning is usually more appropriate.

The box and suitable guide-rail profiles can be incorporated into the façade build-up so that the visible components are reduced. The exact detail depends on the wall construction, render system, window connection and required inspection access.

For the NA-MA, the guide rails, bearing components and fabric assembly are fitted to the window system. The combined window and shading unit is then installed in the structural opening. The installation sequence and interfaces must be coordinated by the project team and specialist contractors.

The box and compatible guide-rail profiles can be fully plastered when the specified façade detail allows it. Product-specific inspection and service access must remain available, and the installation must follow the current technical documentation.
