A retractable side awning protects terraces and balconies from low-angle sunlight, light wind and unwanted views. The fabric extends horizontally from the side-mounted cassette and locks into the opposite holder. After use, it retracts into the cassette, where it is protected from dust and dirt.
A straight or sloping fabric edge allows the patio side screen to be adapted to the installation situation and coordinated with the patio awning.
The WAREMA retractable side awning is pulled out horizontally and secured in the opposite holder. When not in use, the fabric retracts into the compact cassette to keep the patio open and uncluttered.

WAREMA manufactures each retractable side awning to measure. A straight or sloping fabric edge can be selected to suit the geometry of the patio roof, awning or conservatory. A straight fabric edge is also available for level installations.
When retracted, the fabric is stored in the cassette and protected from dust and dirt. To use the patio windscreen, pull the handle across and secure it in the holder on the opposite side. A wide range of fabrics enables the system to be coordinated with the surrounding architecture.
Eligible WAREMA patio side screens can be registered online for a free extension of the manufacturer warranty to five years. The applicable conditions and country-specific availability are provided during registration.

Retract the fabric when the patio side screen is not in use. Remove loose dirt with a soft brush. For heavier soiling, use lukewarm water and a mild detergent, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. Do not use aggressive cleaners, a pressure washer, a washing machine or a stiff brush, as these can damage the fabric, seams or protective finish.
A patio side screen is intended for protection from light wind. Retract it in strong winds, storms or severe weather and follow the operating instructions for the specific product and installation.
The awning fabric is designed for normal outdoor use, but it should not be subjected to impact, climbing or other concentrated loads. Avoid contact with sharp objects and retract the system during severe weather to reduce the risk of damage.
Depending on the model and country, a patio side screen can be configured with a transparent viewing panel. This maintains a clearer outward view while the surrounding fabric provides side protection.
