When developing our products, we therefore consider the raw materials used and their documented environmental indicators, among other factors. This allows us to assess specifically where materials with lower product-related greenhouse gas emissions can be used.

To provide concrete information on the environmental impact of our external venetian blinds, roller shutters and vertical awnings, Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) were prepared in addition to calculating the Product Carbon Footprint (PCF). They were produced in cooperation with the German Roller Shutter, Sun Shading and Automation Association (IVRSA e.V.) and the IBU (Institut Bauen und Umwelt e.V.).
WAREMA has been a member of A | U | F since 2024. The association A|U|F e.V. organises the return, recycling and reuse of aluminium from windows, doors and façades. The aim is to keep the material in circulation wherever possible.
