With the Xeenos product line, WAREMA offers certified Matter solutions for integrating compatible sun shading with other Matter-enabled devices such as heating, lighting or door cameras.

Xeenos uses the Matter smart home standard and the Thread protocol for communication between compatible devices. Thread provides mesh networking and encrypted communication for supported Xeenos components.

Control shading, heating, lighting and all other Matter-enabled devices conveniently via app or voice assistant – even remotely. The certified Matter standard ensures reliable, cross-brand connectivity of all Matter products.

Automated external venetian blinds can use configured sun and temperature control to admit solar gains in winter or provide shading when required. The effect depends on the building, glazing and control settings.

Supported Xeenos commands can be processed locally within the Thread network. Encrypted communication and mesh networking support local device control without requiring cloud processing for every command.

Matter is designed for products from multiple manufacturers. WAREMA provides firmware updates for supported Xeenos products as the system is developed.

1. Select a hub
Your smart home is based on a Matter- and Thread-compatible hub such as Apple HomePod, Amazon Echo Dot or Google Nest Hub.

2. Add Xeenos devices
Using the app of your chosen smart home system (e.g. Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home), scan the QR code on the Xeenos product packaging. You can then configure and control the sun shading system.

Create schedules and link sensors to automate your sun protection within the smart home environment.
