A retractable screen for sliding glass doors keeps insects out of wide openings while retaining convenient access. WAREMA GrandSlide is a horizontally moving side roller screen within the WAREMA fly screen range for large lift-and-slide and folding doors.
Large windows allow plenty of daylight into a room and are a popular trend in house design. This practical insect screen in the form of a side roller blind is ideal for new buildings and can also be retrofitted.
The insect screen roller blind can be installed inside and outside. A special fabric ensures that there is always a good view of the outside world. Find out more here and contact your local specialised retailer for advice.

Operation is easy using the handle rail and requires little force. The side roller blind moves horizontally in an upper and lower guide rail and can be stopped in any position with the help of a sophisticated pull system. During this process, the gauze is rolled up and unrolled vertically on a shaft.
The insect screen roller blind can be used as a two-wing unit with no central upright needed. This allows openings with a width of up to 5000 mm to be protected against insects, extending the area to 14 square metres.
The VisionAir Maxi gauze has been specially designed to roll up and unroll in the GrandSlide insect screen roller blind. It is made of a tightly woven, vinyl-coated polyester mesh and is extremely tear-resistant. It is also weather-proof and offers a good view out. When retracted, it completely disappears into a powder-coated aluminium cassette, which protects it from wind and dust.
Another advantage is that, with lift and slide doors for example, it offers an unimpeded view through the entire width of the doors when retracted – unlike sliding screen door, which are parked in front of the fixed element.
From versatile swivel doors and space-saving insect screen pleated blinds to insect screen swinging doors and sliding doors for large entrances – an door fly screen from WAREMA will improve your quality of life.
The magnetic catch for the insect screen swivel door seals reliably and the kick profile also protects the lower section of the gauze.
The insect screen swinging door is easy to operate even when your hands are full. The door automatically swings back to starting position. The cross rail with the integrated handle rail is a stabilising feature of the swinging door.
The insect screen sliding door, sometimes also called a sash frame, takes up very little space as it slides along your wall. It is available in one- and two-wing models for large panes of glass and floor-to-ceiling windows.
You can protect yourself effectively against annoying insects even if you have a small patio or balcony. The insect screen door with a pleated blind can be moved horizontally and disappears into the frame to save space.
Every window, door and installation situation is different. A WAREMA specialised retailer will help you compare the available systems, select the right mesh and plan a made-to-measure solution.
