When you are looking for more than standard

Protect yourself in your home reliably against the sun and prying eyes with a pleated blind from WAREMA for windows and doors – even if you have opted for exceptional special formats. Freely suspended pleated blinds are suitable for casement and hopper windows, for example. Tensioned pleated blind units give your rooms that little something extra. With sloped or ceiling units you can shade gable windows or sloped glass surfaces. And if you choose pleated blinds with honeycomb fabric, you benefit not only from perfect sun shading, but also from the heat-insulating effect of the air pockets in the honeycombs.

Note

Note: The fashion designer Mariano Fortuny is considered the creator of the pleated blind. In 1905, Mariano and his wife Henriette Fortuny invented the technique of silk pleating, had it patented in 1909 and, among other things, presented the Delphos pleated dress. From dresses and fashion, the pleat then found its way to curtains and window roller blinds via hand fans and lampshades. Today, Wikipedia lists the pleat as a fabric alongside the pleat as a blind for sun shading on windows.
