No building is complete without the right sun shading system. WAREMA not only offers architects the right product solutions: we also provide advice and support throughout the entire planning process. We offer numerous tools, such as our Dimensions Assistant and Sun Shading Planner, which you can use free-of-charge at any time for your project-specific planning work.

Our software tool supports you in planning the suitable sun shading system. The interactive, web-based tool provides brief descriptions, application examples and a wealth of additional information to help you select the right system. Furthermore, it contains a CAD configurator with which you can independently generate sections and views and adapt them to the structural conditions.

The WAREMA Dimensions Assistant is the new edition of the classic, the WAREMA slat stack height calculator.

Experience the variety of fabrics available in the WAREMA collections for awnings, internal sun shading systems and black-out blinds.

Use the Console Planner to determine the type and number of consoles that are recommended for your installation situation and your choice of WAREMA awning.

The WAREMA sun shading planner adapts to meet your particular requirements: both "Light" and "Expert" versions are available. The "Light version helps you get started and offers the first product recommendations for your very own shading solution. Even at this point, the sun shading planner clears up any uncertainties -down to the last technical detail - and shows you how an awning, for example, will look on the wall of your house. This creates planning reliability and helps you involve others in your project, be they friends and family members or architects and building planners. For these specialists, the "Expert" version of the WAREMA sun shading planner is exactly the right tool. Once you have decided on a particular WAREMA product, architects, decorators, site managers or construction engineers can join the detailed planning phase. The "Expert" sun shading planner allows you to perform a complete technical examination of your future sun shading system. Detailed technical sketches, output in various file formats, are available for every component that is relevant to installation. Your professional assistants can thus visualise your WAREMA sun shading system in CAD, for example, and incorporate it into the construction plans or refurbishment work.

BIM data gives all planners, trades and suppliers a tool for interdisciplinary work on a single three-dimensional model. It is expected to replace conventional building planning in the foreseeable future. This is because doing a virtual construction before the actual build makes it possible to identify errors, problems and disturbances – and resolve them – well in advance. As a result, you drastically reduce the risk of errors during real construction and typically guarantee that the building project is completed on time and within budget.

From WAREMA you'll receive data for virtually all the sun shading products we offer, which you can then feed into your BIM software to get perfect results.

Are you searching for a particularly wind-stable solution? To help with your planning, we recommend the following solutions from WAREMA:

  • Window awning with ZIP guidance, type: V-FM, up to 24.4 m/s (Beaufort 9)
  • Wind-stable external venetian blind, type: E 93 A6, up to 25 m/s (Beaufort 10)

Do you need shading for especially large areas? The values in the recommendations provided here only apply to single products. These products can also be coupled to shade larger surfaces. If you want to shade even larger areas, large slat systems will offer you large area-shading solutions.

  • External venetian blind E80 A6 S: maximum area 25m²
  • Roller shutter: maximum area 10m²
  • Window awning with ZIP guidance with size 13 & 15 cover panel: maximum area 18m², widths and heights up to maximum 6m
  • Vertical louvre blinds (standard model): maximum area 30 m²

The safety aspect often plays a key role during planning – and involves different disciplines for which we can provide the following recommendations:

  • Burglary protection: The WAREMA security package makes it harder for intruders to get into your building.
  • Escape and emergency routes: The battery-operated emergency retraction set guarantees fast raising of external venetian blinds - based on the minimum opening time of automatic door systems to DIN 18650-1. WAREMA also offers an extensive lineup for more modest requirements, including the WAREMA emergency power supply kit, the SecuKit, and the Battery module UP.
  • Fire safety: The WAREMA SecuTex fabric A2 is classified as non-flammable under DIN 4102-1 A2.
