The expansion modules SMI (BAline MIO 16M230 SMI 8I, BAline MIO 16MDC SMI LoVo 8I) can be used to control up to 16 230 V SMI or SMI LoVo sun shading drives, independently of each other. The module prepares universal inputs for analogue and digital signals for a room automation unit.

Direct

Directly control sun shading drives with standard motor interface (SMI): expansion module SMI makes it possible to control and parameterise 16 SMI drives in a maximum of 16 groups, in order to precisely control the sun shading system.

Efficient

Saves power: the actuator can switch the SMI drive off with a relay in order to avoid long-term standby current consumption.

Universal

Inputs for a room automation unit: the expansion module SMI has universal inputs for analogue and digital signals.
