The task
The slats must continuously follow the course of the sun so that the
direct solar radiation is always reflected and the eye can never see the
sun dierctly. However, when the slats are completely or partly closed, it
should be possible to see out. Direct, diffuse daylight should be
directed at the ceiling, illuminating the room without dazzle.
 
The solution
4000 motor-driven internal type E 80 L WAREMA light-guiding venetian
blinds were used. The slats are 80 mm wide and concave, white in colour and perforated along half the side.

Using slat guidance controlled by LONWORKS®  and annual shade
programming, the optimum of summer heat protection, dazzle protection and visibility is achieved in every weather condition.

Nevertheless, the user can set the sun shading to his or her personal
preference at any time using the VCU, WAREMA's multi-functional LON
operating unit. The VCU can also be used to control artificial lighting,
heating and ventilation.
