With a sensor in the cover panel wind strength can be measured directly at the fabric.
Electronics analyse these singals and retract the fabric when the wind load is too high.

The integrated wind control is completed by an external light sensor powered by a small solar cell. This sensor may be mounted at almost any suitable place, independent of the awning.
The measured values are transmitted to the control system in the awning by radio signal and - depending on the solar radiation - cause the awning to either retract or project.
