External venetian blinds are comparable to internal venetian blinds but are much more robust and used externally:  The slats and technology withstand extreme weather conditions.

WAREMA external venetian blinds types C/E 80 and C/E94 with daylight guiding equipment can keep any room even with a low lying sun a dazzle free zone, and protect monitors, even ones close to the windows, from sun rays.  Even so, the room is evenly lighted so that artificial lighting can be dismissed during the day.

The daylight guiding equipment-which is always individually tailored-achieves this by dividing the suspended slats into two areas with different open angles.  If the slats are set to ‘work position’ the lower half remains closed to protect monitors from dazzling sun rays.  The upper half of the slats remain open and reflect the sun rays onto the ceiling where it can be evenly distributed throughout the room.

In the "lightguidance" position, the lower slats protect against the sun and keep the workplace a dazzle free zone, while the upper slats reflect the light onto the ceiling to keep the room light.
